McDonald’s Has One Cent Big Macs All Week, But There’s a Catch
McDonald's just had the potential to pull off the most incredible deal in the history of fast-food marketing – until I did some research.
From September 30 through October 4, McDonald's restaurants across the country are selling one million Big Macs for only a penny apiece.
Yes, you read that correctly.
However, there is a catch, and DoorDash is behind this promotion.
The two companies started working together back in July after DoorDash started to receive a high demand from customers for McDonald's to be added as an option for delivery.
In order to celebrate the roll-out of the McDelivery, they knew they had to go big. And indeed, this is DoorDash's biggest deal yet. Toby Espinosa, Vice President of Business Development for DoorDash, says that the company is excited to offer its customers this great deal and the chance to win $1 million.
That's right, one million Macs and one million dollars.
Getting your one cent Big Mac and a chance to win one million dollars is actually a pretty simple process:
- Place an order through DoorDash for the sandwich and enter the code 1BIGMAC
- There is no minimum amount for your order, but you will still have to pay the DoorDash service fees.
- Customers are only allowed one code per person. This makes your chances of winning the one million pretty slim, but it does depend on how many people order the one-cent Big Macs.
Unfortunately, not all McDonald's locations are partnered with DoorDash, but over 9,300 of them are, so there is a pretty good chance that there is a participating McDonalds near you:
