While many are trying to better themselves by working out and eating better throughout this pandemic, I think it's time I cut back on my swearing.

If you have spent longer than five minutes with me and you are an adult, you will notice vulgar language is commonplace with me.

I tried to take note of how much I use bad language day to day and realized I could absolutely cut back.

I think my potty mouth is actually pretty normal for our area. I think it's called having the "mouth of a sailor."

It's not sexy to swear, even though I have heard somewhere that those that swear often tend to be smarter.

So I wonder what it's going to take to get me to cut back on my poor language? Will a swear jar help make me more aware of it? I heard of many using the jar for their kids but will it work for adults as well?

I'd like to make sure I only use swears in the most necessary of cases, like when someone cuts me off on 195, or when I spill my coffee on my cute outfit.

While I'd love to lose a few pounds, it's just not going to happen right now; I'm thinking the swear jar is actually something I can do. At the rate at which I swear, I'll be able to save up for a sweet vacation when things get better.

Have you ever tried the swear jar? How did it go?
