It was the fifth year for Lemonade Day SouthCoast, and it was by far the biggest and best one yet with help from all of our great sponsors (and special thanks to BayCoast Bank for being a sponsor once again, just as they have for all five years).

The 2019 edition saw 116 stands spread across the SouthCoast, covering eight different cities and towns. A total of 368 kids took part in the day, learning about what is needed to own and operate their own small business.

Those kids contributed to more than 25 different charities with their earnings, everything from autism awareness to families of veterans to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Others donated to animal shelters, others to cancer centers and one to our Fun 107 Food for Tots program. Some of the stands reported bringing in over $1,000 in business for the day!

Speaking of business, 65 SouthCoast businesses hosted stands to help these young entrepreneurs. Not only did they help the youngsters learn about how business works, they also showed them how businesses can give back to the community.

Overall, it was a great day with thousands of dollars raised and thousands more gallons of lemonade served—and there's nothing sour about that!
