LAKEVILLE (WBSM) — Route 18 in Lakeville has reopened following a motor vehicle crash this afternoon that sent three people, including a two-year-old girl, to the hospital.

Lakeville Police Chief Matthew Perkins said the department responded to the area of 354 Bedford Street at about 12:30 p.m. today for a report of a two-vehicle crash.

Officers arrived and found that a 2018 Toyota RAV4 and a 2015 Toyota Highlander had collided.

The occupants of the RAV4 – a 37-year-old Lakeville woman and a two-year-old girl – as well as the driver and sole occupant of the Highlander, a 24-year-old Lakeville man, were all transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Perkins said their conditions are unknown at this time.

As the scene was being investigated, Route 18 was closed for about an hour. Perkins said the crash remains under investigation.
