Is Kevin Hart Taping a New Special in Medford & Providence?
One of the most popular comedians of our generation is coming to Medford and Providence.
Funny guy Kevin Hart is bringing his “Brand New Material” tour to Chevalier Theatre on January 13th and the Providence Performing Arts Center on January 14th.
With both events taking place in smaller venues and both shows being advertised as a “phone-free event”, is there a new Netflix special brewing?
From a Philly comic to Global Superstar
Kevin Hart started his successful career in his hometown of Philadelphia as a comedian, but over the years, he has evolved into an entertainment powerhouse. From movies to business endeavors, everything Hart touches seemingly turns to gold.
But Hart’s OG fans will always love him for what he started as. A man who can make people laugh.
Kevin Hart Coming to Massachusetts & Rhode Island
Back in November, Hart announced the “Brand New Material” tour. His latest stops landed him in New Jersey and New York, and he is set to continue the New England leg of the tour in our neck of the woods.
When I saw the location of the two shows, one question came to mind. Why did he choose small venues?
Hart could easily sell out Gillette Stadium in Foxboro and AMP in Providence, but it appears Hart is going for a more intimate experience as he seemingly tests out some new stuff on the New England crowd.
Interestingly, these shows warn that no phones are allowed. Does this mean Hart has chosen a few stops to film for a new special? We’re looking at you, Netflix.
Maybe Hart just wants to make sure his new material doesn’t get leaked on social media, but I wouldn’t be surprised if some production takes place for a potential 9th comedy special by the Philly native.
Tickets are still available online for both the Chevalier Theatre and PPAC.
