Juvenile Suspect Faces Gun Charges in New Bedford

New Bedford Police have arrested a juvenile and taken another illegal gun off the streets.

According to a release, the arrest happened last Thursday in the vicinity of the Temple Landing Development.

Police detectives encountered a group of males near the Middle Street/Chancery St. intersection, and discovered a firearm loaded with seven rounds of ammunition.

A juvenile suspect was arrested and charged with illegally carrying a loaded firearm, and possession of ammunition. Police say the serial number on the weapon was defaced.
