Bruno Lopes, an alleged gang member previously convicted of a New Bedford shooting, has now been convicted of additional gun charges.

New Bedford Police arrested Hector Abreu-Garcia as a suspect in connection with last month's shooting at the Temple Landing housing development.

Police detectives encountered a group of males near the Middle Street/Chancery St. intersection, and discovered a firearm loaded with seven rounds of ammunition.
