I feel like every year the Super Bowl tries to outdo itself when it comes to the halftime show. Literally every superstar has graced the most-viewed sporting event of the year.

How can you possibly one up acts like Michael and Janet Jackson?

We all know that the halftime show is the big ratings pull for the game.

It's been rumored for a few weeks now, ever since Ryan Seacrest tried to get J. Lo to announce she was doing the halftime show while she was on Live with Kelly and Ryan a few weeks back.

I didn't see the add-on of Shakira coming. I'm glad it did, though, and I'm sure she will bring in a diverse audience. I'm thinking they really wanted to showcase the successful diverse women we have in the music business.

Now I did wonder if Jennifer Lopez's new music "Hustlers" ever came up in conversation during the negotiating stages of this. After all, the Super Bowl committee has been very picky about who they allow on the halftime show stage ever since the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction.

If you haven't seen the movie, J. Lo does all of her stunts and it's pretty revealing. She even said she got a little uncomfortable watching it with her hubby A-Rod.

Regardless, I can wait to watch the Patriots (I'm being presumptuous) at the Jennifer Lopez and Shakira concert.

What are your thoughts on this year's Super Bowl Halftime Show entertainment? I have high expectations for these two and I have a feeling they are not going to let us down.
