All We Know About New Nantucket-Based Series Starring Jennifer Garner
After the massive success of last summer’s The Perfect Couple on Netflix, Nantucket looks like it could become the backdrop of yet another TV mini series.
Another one of Elin Hildenbrand’s hugely popular beach reads is being brought to the small screen and this one too is set on and around the beaches off Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
Deadline.com just announced that The Five-Star Weekend is becoming a new Peacock series and will start Jennifer Garner in the lead role. Here's everything we know so far.

What Is Jennifer Garner’s Role in Five-Star Weekend?
Garner plays the lead role of Hollis Shaw, a food influencer known for her delicious recipes, impeccable taste, and warm demeanor, who suffers a devastating loss.
When the death starts to expose the cracks in Hollis’s picture-perfect life, she decides to host a weekend away at her house on Nantucket with three friends from different stages in her life: her childhood, her twenties, thirties, and one surprise fifth guest.
The whole story is set against a luxurious and coastal backdrop as the friends mature in ways they could never imagine with boundaries pushed and secrets exposed.

Garner also doubles as one of the intriguing series’ executive producers along with author Elin Hildenbrand, writer Beth Schacter and project creator Bekah Brunstetter.
Who is Starring in The Five-Star Weekend?
So far no other names besides Garner have been attached to this brand new project from Dinner Party Productions.
The project is so new in fact, it was basically just given the green light when the award-winning actress was announced as star and executive producer.
Still, there are four friend roles to be filled and we hope more big names get attached
When Will The Five-Star Weekend Start Filming?
Again with such a new project, details are scarce. No film schedule or locations have been revealed at all.
The book sets the story in Nantucket however and Hildenbrand had huge success with her last project filming in Chatham, so fingers crossed this series shoots locally too.

Presumably being a beach read book with a story set on the coast, this would be a series that films over the summer or even early next Fall after tourist season is over.
Garner is currently working on season two of her Apple TV series, The Last Thing He Told Me, so she may not even be available any time before spring as it is.
She does have a bit of history with Massachusetts, having been married to Ben Affleck for 13 years, so perhaps she'd be happy to come back to the Bay State this summer for her latest TV role.
