The Operation Clean Sweep Anti-Litter Campaign took-over New Bedford's Ward 5 today.   Hundreds of us gathered in the parking lot of St. Luke's Hospital this morning to tackle litter in that neighborhood.   Mom's, dads and kids were given breakfast, t-shirts, gloves and the tools that it takes for the clean up.  We had the FUN 107 prize wheel up and running, Domino's Pizza gave us lunch, and the weather couldn't have been better.   Thank you again to all the volunteers and to the sponsors as well.  If you couldn't join us today, we'd love to see you at the next Operation Clean Sweep event.

It's Saturday, June 15th in Ward 6.  We'll be meeting on Ruth Street in the south end between McGurk and Salisbury Streets.  Starting time is 8:30 and you can sign-up at www.operationcleansweep.net or show up on the morning of the 15th.   It's a great family event and the perfect way to show your kids the meaning of community pride.   Hope to see you then.
