Hold On, Lemme Take A #Selfie With… Sellotape

As if selfies weren't already the biggest internet trend, the British-brand of Sellotape has joined in on the action. I found this article on Mashable and in these very Picasso-like selfies, several Instagram users have uploaded photos of themselves wrapping their face with sellotape.  Check it out here:  

Creepy, right?!  The whole thing just doesn't make sense to me. I mean it looks painful. Some of these images feature their skin being wrapped so tight it appears the person has lost circulation in their face. This trend just seems to have no purpose whatsoever and I really hope it's a short-lived one.
