Long-Awaited ‘Hocus Pocus 2 Trailer Finally Released

It feels like we've been anticipating "Hocus Pocus 2" forever here on the SouthCoast.

With filming taking place all over Rhode Island last fall and sets starting construction even earlier than that, this sequel is one we all can't wait to watch.

Now that wait has gotten so much shorter.

You know a movie is close to its release date when the trailer hits the internet. Yes, the "Hocus Pocus 2" teaser trailer is out now.

Disney released the nearly minute-and a-half-long peek at the film it says is coming exclusively to Disney+ for the Halloween season. I for one couldn't help but try to tell which scenes might have been filmed close by.

Though I'm not sure where they filmed the wooded scenes that take up most of this teaser trailer, I think it's the downtown Newport sets that are the carnival clips. There was a brief glimpse of the Chase Farm sets built in Lincoln last September.

Of course, when the full film comes to Disney+ this fall, I'll be watching and annoyingly pointing out all the local spots to my family for sure.

Until then, we can rejoice that we are all one step closer to the highly anticipated and long overdue "Hocus Pocus" sequel's release.

Here's hoping it doesn't end up on a list like this one...
