State Police Searching for Reported Jumper on Braga Bridge[BREAKING]
Massachusetts State Police are confirming that a person has jumped from the Braga Bridge in Fall River.
UPDATE (4:46 p.m.): U.S. Coast Guard radio reports indicate the subject of the search is a Caucasian male, approximately 30 years old, wearing a black shirt and khaki shorts.
UPDATE (4:40 p.m.): The State Police chopper is now aiding in the search for the person who jumped from the bridge. Civilian vessels are also assisting.
UPDATE (3:44 p.m.): Massachusetts State Police confirm to WBSM News that they are searching for a person who jumped from the Braga Bridge. They say they are actively searching the water right now and Airwing support is on its way. They say the initial report that came into them was of seeing a person climbing the fence on the bridge.
Multiple reports of an abandoned vehicle on the Braga Bridge surrounded by State Police are coming in from Fall River. Witnesses reported seeing something fall from the bridge and now an unknown object is floating towards the Battleships.
According to scanner calls, Somerset Marine 1 and the Harbor Master are now actively in the water searching for said object.
