A formerly secret trampoline at Hardings Beach on Cape Cod is drawing families and tourists, creating a new summer attraction and sparking buzz on social media.

Hardings Beach in Chatham is the site of a new addition to the sandy shore. Cape Cod resident Tyler Wright and his brother brought the trampoline to the beach and it has been attracting a lot of attention.

However, that wasn't the original plan when they first set it up on May 2.

“(We) set the spot up right as the sun was going down so no one noticed us doing it, so public officials had no idea,” Wright told us. “Originally the spot was intended to stay secret, but as you can imagine, tourists and local high school students soon caught wind of it and it went viral on social media."

Here is a reel posted on Instagram showing the trampoline perfectly placed:

Wright, a graduate of Cape Cod Regional Technical High School in Harwich, said for right now, the trampoline is temporarily out of commission due to vandalism.

"The trampoline has been cut up by some local high school students so we are in the process of getting a new net," he said.

According to the comments on the Instagram reel, people are loving this new addition, even calling it a "tourist attraction."

Parents, if you are trying to get some relaxing sun time but have to take the kids along, you may want to go a little out of your way and head to Hardings Beach for this trampoline. I guess falling off a trampoline and onto sand is a little safer than, say, onto pavement.

Have you seen any "added attractions" to any of our local beaches like this? Do you think more beaches should have fun things like this?
