Rob Gronkowski held his press conference this morning and we now know he definitely won't be returning to football any time soon.

Gronk is living pain free as "Mr Recovery" and says the next chapter of his life will be about advocating that cannabidiol, more commonly known as CBD, is an acceptable, alternative way for players to deal with pain.

The former Patriots tight end will be partnering with Abacus Health Products and plans to launch a line of products with CBDMEDIC in 2020.

Gronk called CBDMEDIC "so life changing for me" and added that the new line will be "all-natural" and "fitness-oriented."

And in addition to talking about his plans with CBD and working to possibly remove it from the NFL's list of banned substances, Gronk also touched on all the return-to-football talk.

Sorry Patriots fans, but it doesn't look like that will be happening anytime soon.

Gronk spoke about all the love he gets from fans and the constant "are you coming back?" questioning he hears. And he was pretty point blank saying,

I want to be clear to my fans: I needed to recover. I was not in a good place. Football was bringing me down. And I didn’t like it. I was losing that joy in life, like the joy. I really was. I was fighting through it. I knew what I signed up for. I knew what I was fighting through. I knew I just had to fix myself.

So right now the focus is on healing and apparently using CBD to do it.

Though he did tease a return could be in the future - just not the immediate future.
