‘Grease: Live!’ Two Main Cast Members Announced

Fox announced a while back that they were working on a live TV performance of one of my favorite classics, Grease! They are calling it, simply enough, 'Grease: Live' and have made some major casting announcements!  

On Saturday, E! News reported the first big plunge in casting for the show set to air Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016. The report stated that not only had the producers found their Sandy but they also pegged who would reprise the role of the Pink Ladies' resident bad girl Rizzo.

So who'd they pick?

Well, Sandy is set to be played by the stunning Julianne Hough of Dancing With the Stars fame. Rizzo's edgy character is going to be played by High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens.

I think they made two great choices here.  Both Julianne and Vanessa are fabulous, and both have experience in musicals with Hudgens of course playing a lead role in the High School Musical franchise and Hough starring in Rock of Ages.

I just can't wait to see who the producers get to fill out the rest of the cast. They're off to a great start!
