If you're a fan of actually buying albums, DVDs and other fun music and movie paraphernalia...there'll be one less place to do so soon.

Several sources have confirmed that the FYE store in the Dartmouth Mall will be closing its doors in 2018.

Store employees tell us that a leasing issue has led to the closure. Several new stores (such as Forever 21, the store rumored to be taking FYE's location) are set to open in the Dartmouth Mall in 2018.

And with the arrival of new stores, comes the closing of old stores.

FYE employees say customers are already complaining about the impending closure and they tell us the store wants to stay as well.

They say the store will try to remain in the mall in another location, but so far there are no other locations available.

No word on what kind of sales the store closing will prompt or on an exact closing date.

The store employees we spoke with did say the closing will come some time in February.

When the Dartmouth Mall location closes, your closest FYE stores will be at the Galleria Mall in Taunton, the Warwick Mall in Warwick, RI or the Emerald Square Mall in North Attleboro.
