The Ford Motor Company has recalled nearly half a million vehicles due to possible gas leaks.

The company says the recall is specifically on 2010 and 2011 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan sedans.

A mechanical issue was discovered that can cause pressure changes in the gas tank and lead to a cracked gas tank along with possible gas leaks.

Ford says there are no reports of injuries or fires due to the problem.

Owners are asked to bring vehicles that may be affected in to have the valve and fuel tank inspected for leaks and replaced if needed.

Dealers will also update the powertrain control module software.
