Marylou’s Coffee Gets in the Beer Game with New Mocha Porter
There's nothing more that I enjoy in the world than a good beer.
Honestly, I love them all. Lagers, bocks, pilsners, stouts, and even porters. Want to know what else I enjoy out of life? A good cup of coffee.
So what happens when two of my favorite things join forces and collaborate into one delicious beverage? Well, I'll let Marylou's Coffee take the credit for this one.
For years, coffee drinkers from all over have flocked to the closest Marylou's around for a cup of java that satisfies that soul.
Me, personally, I've never tried the brand, but have heard nothing but good things. Now that I have discovered that there's a brand new beer that is now being sold at select locations, it piques my interest that much more.
Over in Hanover, the little coffee shop that emanates a large persona has created a "Mocha Porter" coffee-beer infusion that sounds ridiculously tasty.
"Burke's Alewerks, a South Shore staple, has long been an advocate for the Pink Boots Society, a charity that helps female brewers in the industry. This year Marylou’s donated 8 pounds of Marylou's Famous Blend beans to help them to create an inspired Mocha Porter." -Marylou's
The coffee company is aiming to help out the Pink Boots Society, an organization that was designed to "assist, inspire and encourage women beer industry professionals to advance their careers through education."
A limited amount of four-packs ($15) are available and Burke's Alewerks will be open 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday for safe curbside pickup. They are located at 200 Webster Street in Hanover.
If there was ever a time to support local, it's now, and I'm all about this newly brewed concoction. Looks like I have a road trip to take this weekend.
