Meet Zara. Zara the pit bull is about 3 years old and "45 pounds of perfection", according to the team at Forever Paws Animal Shelter.

"Zara is perfect," said the shelter. "Watching this girl go from massive scaredy-cat in the kennels to sweet, social snuggle bug has been nothing short of magical."

Zara loves to play with the other dogs at the shelter and responds best to soft voices and softer touches.

"She's a gentle soul," said the shelter.

Zara has never interacted with cats before, so the shelter recommends a cat-free home. She does great with other dogs and children should be at least 8 years of age or older due to her size.
