Crashes involving school vehicles occurred this morning in Fall River and Taunton, each one sending a person to the hospital.

Fall River Police responded at 7:22 a.m. to a reported crash involving a school bus on Canal Street. According to police, the bus was traveling northbound and crashed into a black Honda sedan that was traveling southbound.

Police spokesperson Captain Barden Castro said it appeared contact took place between the bus and the Hodna when the drivers’ sides struck each other. The Honda also collided with a parked SUV, which caused the Honda to flip onto its side. The driver of the sedan was transported to St. Anne’s Hospital for treatment.
