‘Kindness Kitchen’ Feeds the Hungry in Fall River
When you're sitting down to enjoy your next hot meal, take a moment to realize just how fortunate you are. Your bowl of soup or a plate of pasta may seem routine to you, but it's a real treat for those in need.
A Tiverton couple and the surrounding community are doing their part to combat hunger on the SouthCoast with the Kindness Kitchen in Fall River.
Feeding Those In Need
This mobile kitchen serves up hot food, snacks and drinks to the community, all free of charge.
"We're not only feeding the encampments and the unhoused, but anyone who needs a meal," Sandy Greenwood said. She and her husband started the Kindness Kitchen at the beginning of 2025.

There are no questions asked. No ID required. No need to share your story. The mission is simple: if you need food, they can help.
"It's just a nice hot meal for you," Greenwood said. "You take what you need."
A Community Comes Together
Since it began just a few month ago, the Kindness Kitchen has caught the attention of many in the community.
"We have a tremendous amount of volunteers and we get donations from all over the country," Greenwood said.

It even goes beyond food. The community has gathered kids' clothing, cribs, diapers and whatever else is needed.
