A Fall River waterfront restaurant is using its slower season to make some much-needed updates and it isn't being shy about showing off what it is doing.

The Cove Restaurant and Marina recently replaced a piece of artwork on its walls as you enter the restaurant with its mock-up of what the restaurant will look like by next spring and summer.

Why The Cove Is Closing This Winter

The Cove made the official announcement with a post on its Facebook page:

The post stated that the restaurant will close for renovations beginning early January.

What’s Changing Inside The Cove

Some of the more noticeable updates being made will be the floors and a reconfiguring of indoor dining to accommodate private parties with function rooms.

Along with some structural changes, some aesthetic upgrades will be made to the bar area, including some chic new contemporary furniture.

Mixed Reactions from Loyal Customers

There were lots of mixed reactions in the comment section, with many saying the restaurant is great the way it is. Most are excited to see the spot get a little "glow up."

Overall, these upgrades will allow the restaurant to utilize the space more efficiently while considering the overall dining experience for everyone who visits the restaurant.
