Massachusetts Rapper’s Song Ended Up on an Official NFL Tom Brady Video
Imagine finding out years later that one of your songs had been used by the NFL to showcase none other than Tom Brady.
That's exactly what happened to Fall River rapper YaBoi LoCo. While scrolling through TikTok recently, a longtime follower of his left a comment that stopped him in his tracks. "They used your song," the fan wrote. "The NFL used your song."
LoCo clicked on the notification, opened the video and couldn't believe what he was seeing. There it was: the NFL's official TikTok account had used his song "GOAT" in a video featuring Brady returning to the field, a fitting choice considering many consider the former Patriots quarterback the greatest of all time, myself included.
A Surprise Years in the Making
The funny part: the TikTok wasn't new. The NFL had posted it back in 2023, but LoCo had never realized one of his own tracks had been selected from TikTok's licensed music library. "I had already liked the post," he laughed. "I was so used to seeing Tom Brady, LeBron and Ronaldo videos that I didn't even realize they were using my song until someone pointed it out."

Because the NFL pulled the track directly from TikTok's licensed music catalog, everything was used properly. While LoCo joked it didn't exactly make him rich, he said the recognition meant far more than any paycheck.
A Full-Circle Moment
Released in June 2021, "GOAT" was the very first song Aguiar ever recorded in a professional studio.
At the time, he wasn't even fully committed to pursuing music as a career, a decision he says came the following year after meeting Jadakiss and beginning to perform regularly. "It's awesome," LoCo said. "That song is so old now, but music is timeless. You never know when it could be used."

Ironically, LoCo admits he's actually a Kansas City Chiefs fan and considers Patrick Mahomes his favorite quarterback. "I found it funny that the NFL used my song for Tom Brady instead of Mahomes," he joked. "But Tom Brady deserves it." For an artist who has spent years building his name across the SouthCoast, seeing one of his earliest songs paired with one of football's biggest legends is a solid reminder that you never know who's listening.
