Fall River Amazon Donates Needed Feminine Products to Teen Center
Amazon may be a global conglomerate but after today, it has proved its worth and loyalty to the Greater Fall River community.
On Wednesday, July 13, the United Way of Greater Fall River's Teen Closet program, which helps give hygiene products to teens in need, teamed up with the Fall River Amazon Fulfillment Center for a donation that will help local women.
As I walked up to Amazon's main entrance, I was greeted by Alison Hague from the Family Resource Center, the host facility for Teen Closet, as well as a few associates from the fulfillment center.
Upon arrival, a dolly with more than a dozen boxes of top-brand feminine products was ushered out from the warehouse and handed over to Hague to be distributed to local teens who might not have permanent homes. These hygienic products along with dental hygiene products that were purchased with a donation from New Bedford Credit Union will go a long way at the resource center.
With a feminine product shortage still in effect across the country, this donation from Amazon will help tremendously, just in the nick of time.
"Our workers and our associates live in the community close by and we have both a desire and a responsibility to them to provide the necessary hygienic needs to help them out," Amazon told Fun 107.
If you or someone you know would like to help with donations, an Amazon Wish List has been made for convenience for those who are unable to pick up donations physically.
Join FUN 107 along with Amazon in Fall River for the Teen Closet Drive to help support teens on the SouthCoast and together we can make a difference.
