United Way of Greater Fall River Provides Dozens of Services
The United Way of Greater Fall River is gearing up for the big annual fundraiser coming up next month, the United We Move Trailfest. They're having their 5th annual version of the fun/walk/ride event is coming up on Saturday, October 19 at the Fall River Bioreserve.
Janine Pohorely says it's a great way to get out into the community and enjoy the beautiful foliage and check out local vendors. "Our main goal is to raise local dollars that we funnel right back into 75 local programs spread out across 7 SouthCoast cities and towns that are all about creating a healthy community, fostering youth opportunity and financial security.
The United Way of Greater Fall River can really touch and life, and individual in any part of their life journey. It can really help someone get back on track.
Pohorely says the United Way of Greater Fall River is always looking for volunteers. There is particular need for volunteers at the upcoming Trailfest and the Day of Caring, which is the day before Trailfest, on October 18. It is a big cleanup in Fall River's Industrial Park.
