Ed Sheeran’s New Instagram Shares Photos Of Taylor Swift In Westerly

Ed Sheeran certainly has an interesting way of promoting himself.

From pop up performances to highlight a Cape Cod bar to an entire Instagram account to hype a new song, Sheeran knows how to get attention.

It's that new Instagram called Teddy's Old Phone that is getting a ton of attention right now.

That's because the promotional genius that is Ed Sheeran decided to drop hundreds of old photos into the new Instagram account in honor of his new song "Old Phone."

Yep, just to let people know about his new tune, he shared numerous photos and screenshots from the 2010s that have never been seen by fans before.

Quite a few of the photos were from his time spent on tour with Taylor Swift in 2013 supporting her fourth studio album, Red. And some of them are from spots in Westerly, RI you just might know.

A photo of friends walking a sandy beach was the first tip off that he was sharing old photos from Westerly, but the picture of Swift with the slice of pizza proved it for me.

Having lived in that area myself at the time, I was pretty sure I recognized the pizza spot they were eating in. A little internet detective work proved it to me, comparing the Swift photo with one PizzaPlace in Westerly had once shared themselves.

The tile floor and brick walls really are quite specific to this spot. Not to mention the plants and hanging lights.

No surprise that the group on tour that summer would have spent time at her 'Holiday House' mansion on Watch Hill. She performed several nights at Gillette Stadium that summer with Sheeran as her opening act and clearly spent some down time in Westerly while they were in New England.
