Drunk Driver Hits 41 Cars in Providence

Dozens of parked cars were struck in Providence yesterday and all by one driver.

Boy are the insurance companies going to love this one.

Providence police say a 45-year-old man driving under the influence managed to hit 41 cars, all on one street, before finally being arrested.

Clearly this man was insanely drunk and had absolutely no business being behind the wheel.

I mean 41 cars! How do you get to 41 cars without saying to yourself "maybe I shouldn't be driving."

It boggles the mind.

According to the reports, 45-year-old Christopher Paolissi was driving his red pickup down Elmwood Ave swerving so badly he hit cars on both sides of the street all the way down the street.

And it all happened in broad daylight!

Paolissi's arrest came around 4:30 p.m.

Luckily no one was hurt during this 41 car assault, except the drunk driver himself who was taken to the hospital.

He is obviously facing numerous charges, including 40 summons for failure to report an accident involving an unattended vehicle (why not 41 I wonder?).

It's also very lucky Paolissi was driving so slow, only going around 15-20 MPH according to police.

Still 41 cars? Completely insane. Hopefully this man takes a good look at this and tries to make a change for the better in his life.
