The Australian boy band 5 Seconds of Summer has been on the road touring with The Chainsmokers, and as you know, they are coming to the area in September.

5SOS has the boy band cult following but even those who don't follow them recognize their songs. You know them mostly from the song "Youngblood" that Fun 107 played a ton for what seemed like forever. They owned the Summer of 2018. You've probably also heard their current single, "Easier."

While they call themselves 5SOS, there are actually just four guys in the group:

  • Luke Hemmings – lead vocals, rhythm guitar
  • Michael Clifford – lead guitar, vocals
  • Calum Hood – bass, vocals, synthesizers
  • Ashton Irwin – drums, vocals, percussion

If you missed us playing their new song "Teeth" on the radio, you can listen to it again here.

The band started their own record label a few years back under the Capitol Records Music Group here in the states.

They have been big supporters of the organization founded by the members of Queen, the Mercury Phoenix Trust, where funds go to provide support in the fight again HIV/AIDs.

I have yet to see these guys live but I hear they are very animated and love to interact with the crowd. I don't care what they say; I love Australian accents, so just keep talking!

They will be at the TD Garden on September 27 with The Chainsmokers for what I'm sure is going to be an epic night.

Let us know what you think of the song. Is 5SOS on a roll and this song is wicked good, or do they need to get back in the studio because this is whack?
