UPDATE 8:00AM NFL spokesperson reportedly confirming that there is an investigation into game balls used in last night's game.

After the New England Patriots' convincing 45-7 thrashing of the Indianapolis Colts last night, senior sports reporter Bob Kravitz of WTHR broke news that the Pats were being investigated by the league.

The investigation is apparently based around the idea that New England was using deflated footballs during the game. Kravitz tweeted later that if the investigation does, in fact, show that the balls were deflated under regulation standards it would result in a loss of draft picks for the Pats.

I don't know what to think about this. It seems like every time the Pats win people have to call something in to question. Last week it was Harbaugh complaining about the eligibility rules. Now it's this.

If you ask me, the Pats were better yesterday and would have been better no matter what ball was used. Domination is domination, period.

In the words of Bill Belichick, "We're on to Seattle."
