Dartmouth Kohl’s Will Be Taking Your Amazon Returns
Kohl's department stores are getting in on the Amazon action by accepting eligible returns at their freestanding stores.
I am a HUGE Amazon shopper but not so much when it comes to Kohl's Department store. I have to admit, I've never really given Kohl's a solid chance. I've rushed through the store on occasion, usually before the holidays to "find something quick" to gift for someone. But that doesn't really count. With this new Amazon news, though, I'm sure I'll be seeing a lot more of Kohl's, which might be dangerous. 😱
Kohl's is excited about this new partnership with Amazon because they feel confident this will help them to bring a new market of shoppers into their department stores.
In fact, Kohl's CEO Michelle Gass says, "Amazon and Kohl’s have a shared passion in providing outstanding customer service, and this unique partnership combines Kohl’s strong nationwide store footprint and omnichannel capabilities with Amazon’s reach and customer loyalty. This new service is another example of how Kohl’s is delivering innovation to drive traffic to our stores and bring more relevance to our customers."
Kohl’s currently has more than 1,150 locations across 48 states. Starting this summer in July, Amazon items can be returned free of charge regardless of return reason and whether the items are packaged or not. The department store will package and send all returned items to the Amazon returns centers on behalf of customers.
How convenient is that?
