A couple from Pennsylvania chronicled their adventures fulfilling a bucket list they made for their terminally ill baby boy.

According to an article by WCVB, when the doctors diagnosed their unborn child with anencephaly, parents Jen and Dan Haley decided to give their son the best life possible while they still could. Infants with anecephaly are born without parts of their brain and skull, and typically don't live longer than a few days at most.

Through their Facebook page "Prayers For Shane," they documented their adventures with their son, with trips to pumpkin patches, the Statue of Liberty, and even a Phillies game.

Baby Shane was born yesterday at 6:15 a.m., he had the chance to meet his entire family and receive a Catholic baptism. Sadly, he died a few hours after his birth.

This bittersweet story truly was a difficult one to read. It's so heartbreaking, but moving at the same time. Shane's parents hope their son's life can help inspire others, and teach them about the true value of life.
