Couple Channels The Holy Spearit in Britney Spears-Themed Pregnancy Announcement Viral Video
Some people like to call their parents and say "Mom, Dad...we're pregnant." Some like to throw a party at their place and make the big announcement surrounded by their closest loved ones.
And then, there are those who like to meticulously recreate some of the most iconic visuals within the videography of the Legendary Miss Britney Spears in a grand pregnancy announcement YouTube video for the world to see.
"Ok, we couldn't just announce our pregnancy the 'normal' way! You know us better than that! Being huge fans of Britney Spears, we couldn't think of a better way to share our excitement. So here we go..." mom-to-be Machel warns in the video's description. (She met "Grammy award winning drummer hubby Jerrad" at a theater where they both worked before founding their company Vintage Marquee Lights together according to her YouTube bio, in case you were curious about the backstory between these two lovebirds.)
What happens next can only be described as a 5-minute melee of stone-cold suburban Spearitual worship (and ample #VintageMarqueeLightsPromo), from "Oops!...I Did It Again" (as "Oooh, We're Pregnant Again"), to "Toxic" (as "Nauseous"), to "I'm A Slave 4 U" (as "I'm A-Voiding You") to an interlude using Brit's biggest mega-ballad "Everytime" — all the way up to B's "Pretty Girls" with Iggy Azalea (as "Little Girl" with, gulp...'Daddy G.')
These two are evidently stans, because everything about this video — from the cinematography to the choreography to the costumes — could only come from the watchful eye of a hardcore fan. That "Slave" choreography (WITH BACK-UP DANCER) in the Target aisle? The "Pretty Girls" MILFney moment in the lawn chair? Even that #SomethingMorePersonal photo shoot moment on the beach, which B-Girl would no doubt call "very sweet"...they've got it all down.
Here's hoping the money these two rake in from this effort pays for at least a year's worth of diapers and binkies — and a pair of Piece Of Me Meet & Greet tickets, too.
