With the reports of another snow storm coming our way tomorrow, a lot of local businesses will be closing their doors for the safety of their employees. A day off in the middle of the week could lead numerous people looking for something to do with all the time that is now in their hands. It's been a while since you've had a day off so why not spend it watching some quality television shows back to back. Here's some suggestions for a series or season you can complete in one sitting.

BBC's Sherlock Season 1- Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman rejuvenate the classic characters Sherlock Holmes and Dr.  John Watson with a modern twist. The show's structure is unique too, with three movie-length episodes in the entire season.

The Get Down Season 1- Follow the journey of a group of young kids in the Bronx as they're introduced to the birth of hip hop in the disco era. A world full of funky music and spray paint is the perfect escape from the blankets of snow outside.

Stranger Things Season 1- If you haven't watched Stranger Things yet where have you been? A boy goes missing and his mother, friends, and police chief seem to bite off more than they can chew in this homage to 80's thriller genres.

Master of None Season 1- Comedian Aziz Ansari tackles love, having children, getting old, and many more topics in this hilarious, yet through provoking comedy. Whether you're a fan of Ansari or not, sitting down to watch these episodes will be entertainment that will last all day.

Narcos Seasons 1&2- Following the rises and falls of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, Narcos is a thriller of a series you should really catch up with. Emmy and Golden Globe nominated, watch one of the most accurate portrayals of Escobar to date. Beware, you may want to have the kids in another.
