My wife has seen every version of Love Is Blind imaginable, including Love Is Blind: UK, and somehow, despite pretending I was only “half-watching,” I always found myself getting sucked in right beside her.

One minute I’d be scrolling on my phone, and the next I’d be fully invested in strangers falling in love through a wall while firing off nonstop questions like, “Wait, who’s that guy again?” or “Why is she crying already?” I’m sure I drove her nuts, but deep down, I have to admit it: I kind of love the chaos of the show.

Now, the hit Netflix dating experiment is heading much closer to home, and suddenly I’m way more interested than I expected to be. According to NetflixBoston has officially been confirmed as the setting for the upcoming Season 11 of the series. That means the pods, awkward reveals, dramatic rooftop conversations and emotional wedding-day speeches could all be happening in the Hub.

Suddenly, this doesn’t feel like just another season of reality TV. It feels local.

As for me, I’ll probably continue pretending I’m only casually watching while secretly becoming emotionally invested three episodes in. However, now that Boston is involved, I’m officially curious.
