Atlanta Zoo Loses Super Bowl Bet And Names Animal After Brady

There's a new Tom Brady at Zoo Atlanta thanks to the Patriots stunning Super Bowl comeback.

Though most fans would think it more fitting to name a goat after Brady (see what I did there), Zoo Atlanta named their new Madagascar hissing cockroach after the Patriots QB at the request of the folks from Roger Williams Park Zoo.

The Atlanta zoo and the Providence zoo made a bet before Super Bowl LI that the winning city's zoo would get to name a Madagascar hissing cockroach at the losing city's zoo after the winning team's quarterback.

So meet the newest Tom Brady...

Well … the New England Patriots won #SuperBowlLI, so that means we lost our bet with Roger Williams Park Zoo & Carousel Village. Before the game, our two zoos decided the losing side would name one of their baby animals after the winning team’s star quarterback, and figuring the losing side would be pretty bitter about it, we came to the agreement that baby animal … would be a Madagascar hissing cockroach. So without further ado - Meet our newly-named Program Animal family!
