Are Schools Too Soft on this Generation’s Snow Days?
So, the other day I went to the YMCA around 10 A.M. like I always do, and I was shocked that my normally quiet and peaceful basketball session was interrupted by a PACKED gym, and when I asked the young man why he wasn't in school, he said they had a snow day today...
If my rear wheel drive Mustang can make it to the YMCA, I'm pretty sure you can go to school. My school system would've NEVER canceled, and if they did, you bet they were calling at 6 A.M. to make sure the weather report held true to start the morning!
I feel like I can only imagine what Baby Boomers are thinking when the busses made about 1/4 of the stops they make nowadays.
With that being said, are schools too soft nowadays on snow days, or is it always better safe than sorry?
