A Kite Festival Coming This Summer That's Not Just For Kids

This is one of the best places to fly kites on the SouthCoast.

Join the celebration for the 5th Annual Onset Beach Kite Festival Saturday, August 31, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This is by far one of the best spots on the SouthCoast to fly a kite. Onset Beach and Harbor has a great wind flow which helps keep your kite flying high and strong with no end in sight. The festival features a bunch of fun stuff for the kids and grown ups who are really kids at heart. You'll find a build-a-kite station for the kids just $3 per kite.

Of course you can feel free to bring your own kites. The festival is free to the public but donations in any amount are appreciated and go towards keeping the festival happening each year. There's free parking at Hynes Field next to Chuck’s Auto.
