25 SouthCoast Cats Living Their Best Life at Their Forever Homes
“You don’t own a cat, the cat owns you.”
As a proud owner of two adorable cats, this common phrase rings true. From catering to their picky eating habits to vying for their love and attention, earning the affection of a cat is a little more difficult at times than the average dog.
But I’m here to tell you that cats bring joy and unconditional love to any home if you let them, and here’s why you should consider adopting one.

I recently discovered that June is National Adopt a Cat Month. It encourages us to remember about furry felines when considering a new pet, and it’s a time to learn the cat-friendly ways to prepare your home for a new fur baby, how to know which cat is best for you, and how to care for your kitty.
We may be a little late to the game to fully celebrate National Adopt a Cat Month, but when next month comes, the SouthCoast is still going to have the same problem they have been dealing with this season. Our shelters are inundated with kittens and they are desperate to find new homes.
I’ve spoken with several shelters in the area, from Fall River and beyond, and they all worry about these kittens as options continue to run out.
I’m a proud cat mom of two adopted kitties and they have brought so much joy into my home.

Marley and Piper are the best of friends. They love to cuddle, find a warm ray of sunshine in an open window, and sneak treats when they are being too cute to resist.
If you are considering adding a new pet to your family, I ask you to consider a kitten. Marley and Piper told me that you wouldn’t regret it.
Don’t take my word for it. Keep scrolling to see 25 cats who were lucky enough to leave the shelter and find themselves a forever family. Each one of them a purrfect addition to their new homes.
