10 SouthCoast Businesses That Need Their Own Drive-Thru

Every once in a while, you may have an idea that might not be achievable, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a good idea.

For me, it's having a drive-thru at specific local businesses that could benefit from one, and that we as customers could benefit from them having one.

Imagine the ability to run your errands and get food at the places that you shop without ever having to get out of the car. That's the kind of future I'd like to see, especially here on the SouthCoast.

These days, most things are readily available. Whether it's the click of a button on your app or curbside pickup, convenience is always a plus and it's pretty much everywhere around us. However, it's always the stores or restaurants that you wish you had the luxury of driving right up that are without the provided service.

I tend to think outside of the box, and I'd like to see all shopping and errands achievable through a drive-thru service. For instance, in Middletown, Rhode Island, there's a liquor store with a drive-thru on the side of the building. You simply drive up and tell the person what you want. Next thing you know, there's a bag of alcohol in your backseat and you didn't even have to get out of the car or look for parking.

That's the convenience I'm searching for in our area and I'm not alone with this crazy idea. I performed a case study where I asked local people where they would like to see a drive-thru installed (whether possible or not), and here's what they came up with:
