King Mufasa rules the plains of Africa but when his untimely passing occurs, Simba his firstborn son takes the reigns. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub's arrival. Scar, Mufasa's brother–and former heir to the throne–has different plans. The struggle for Pride Rock is soon filled with deceit, tragedy, and drama, ultimately ending in Simba's exit from his home. Now, with aid from an interesting pair of new friends, Simba must figure out how to quickly grow up and take back his kingdom.
