A few days ago, the Red Sox put themselves into the trade carousel that hppens every season before the July 31 non-waver trade dealine, when they shipped former all-star Shane Victorino to the LA Angels. The question now is; Will Boston make another move before the deadline comes tomorrow at 4 pm est.

Everyone can agree that the Red Sox, who entered this month's all-star break on a bit of an up-swing, are out of playoff contention after losing 11 of their first 13 game back from the break and dropping to 14 games behind the AL-East leading New York Yankees.

With all that being said, its worth wondering if the Red Sox front office, especially GM Ber Cherington, will try making any moves to trim some salary for the future or to add some pieces that they feel can become important parts to this team's future.

The Sox still need a great deal of help in the pitching department so rather than waiting to get into a bidding war this off season for some of the top free agent pitchers available, they could look to grab a quality option now and build off the acquisition for next season.

Most of the top deadline prizes are off the map, but a move could still be made. Let's see if they've got anything up their sleeves.
