Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! Let's talk animals.

Every week, it is our mission to get one lucky animal adopted by a loving family. There are hundreds of animals on the SouthCoast surviving in shelters, and we aim to share their stories.

This week, we give the spotlight to a young dog in Fall River that will need a patient family to show him that not all humans are scary.

Meet Puddles. Puddles is a hound mix currently under the care of Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River. He's about one year old and the poor guy had a rough start at life.

"He allegedly spent most of his life in a crate, but we can't verify that or know for sure," said the shelter. "We just know that he came to us petrified of the world, which is understandable."

Puddles has a lot of anxiety and is terrified of being cornered, but physical exercise seems to help.

He's a big fan of zooming around and chasing tennis balls. He is uncertain about other dogs, but is definitely curious, and he is petrified of cats.

The best part about Puddles is how quickly he warms up to kind people. He will climb into your lap, beg for affection, and be stuck to you like glue.

Puddles will need help coming out of his shell and getting over his anxiety. His forever family should be an adult-only family that is ready to put some effort into his training.

The reward? A loving and adorable hound that will be your best friend for life.
