Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! Let's talk animals.

If you are considering a new pet for you and your family, consider adoption.

There are hundreds of animals in local shelters waiting to find a forever home, and thanks to those shelters, these animals have a fighting chance.

Every week, we give the spotlight to one lucky animal, and this week, a 7-year-old pup in Fall River hopes to be your best friend.

Meet Indy. Indy is 7 years old and weighs a whopping 7 pounds. He's living at Forever Paws Animal Shelter but hopefully not for long.

Indy is not afraid to let himself be heard.

"He likes to sing to the song of his people and likes to tell stories," joked the shelter. "Long story short, he's very vocal."

While Indy is known for zoomies now and then, he is an older gentleman who loves to nap in the sunshine.

"He's a mature guy that knows what he likes and knows what he wants," the shelter said.

Indy loves attention and cuddles, and he's ready to give unconditional love to the right family. The shelter believes Indy would do well with other cats and dogs, but they recommend children be at least 10 years old.

Does Indy sound like a good fit for you and your family? Visit Forever Paws online and click adopt to download the application. Once complete, email it to fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to 508-677-9175.

Indy cannot wait to meet you.

If SouthCoast Dogs Had a Dating App, It Would Look Something Like This

August 26 is International Dog Day, and it got me thinking. What if there was a way for dogs to connect with other dogs in the area to make new friends? Or maybe even find love? Twenty-six dogs living on the SouthCoast sent me their profile picture and bio. Let's see the eligible pups.
