Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! It's the best day of the week.

Every Wednesday, we give the spotlight to one special animal that is up for adoption on the SouthCoast in hopes of uniting them with the perfect family.

This week, we head to Fall River where the tiniest princess in all of Massachusetts is impatiently waiting.

Meet Annabelle. Annabelle is a 7-year-old pug mix currently residing at Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River. Unfortunately, this isn't her first time at the shelter, and through no fault of her own, she finds herself once again looking for a forever home.

Annabelle is 29 pounds and a bit on the chunky side. She'll need some help losing a few pounds, and it should be an easy task because the girl loves her walks, no matter the weather.

Annabelle is best described as a sour patch kid.

"She'll greet you with a crooked smile and a wagging tail and then turn around and give you the most judgmental side eye you have ever seen," said the shelter. "There's not a mean bone in her body, but she would probably do best as your one and only, your little princess, the center of your universe."

Annabelle has a slight heart murmur that her forever family should be aware of, but luckily, it has caused her zero issues. However, it could require medical attention later in life.

Since Annabelle loves to speak her mind, the shelter recommends that her new home does not share walls with any neighbors.

"Unless they don't mind being shouted at by a sentient baked potato," said the shelter.

In reality, Annabelle is a sweet girl that doesn't understand why she is back at the shelter.

"This dog will make you laugh on your worst days," said the shelter.

If SouthCoast Dogs Had a Dating App, It Would Look Something Like This

August 26 is International Dog Day, and it got me thinking. What if there was a way for dogs to connect with other dogs in the area to make new friends? Or maybe even find love? Twenty-six dogs living on the SouthCoast sent me their profile picture and bio. Let's see the eligible pups.
