Who says you have to break the bank when going to the Vineyard for the weekend?

We ventured out on the 2pm Seastreak Fast Ferry out of New Bedford on Friday arriving in Oak Bluffs just before 3pm.  It was the first ferry my boys have taken and they loved the ride over.  My mom joined us as we were having a my side of the family weekend together.  My brothers and their families joined us also.

We ended up renting a 4 bedroom home in Edgartown and the home was just perfect for all of us.  Because we split the  house between 3 families, it ended up being very reasonable.  For our family of four, we figured out it cost up $129 per night to spend a full weekend on the Vineyard in gorgeous Edgartown.  A steal!

The house was minutes from South Beach and downtown Edgartown where I was in my glory window shopping the boutiques.  I ma have made a purchase or two.  The home we stayed in was equipped with everything we needed including bikes to use which got us around without having to call for a taxi or Uber.  That saved us money also.

We kept the weekend pretty low key and (low cost).  We ordered pizza and salad one night for all 13 of us and made sure we brought breakfast and lunch food to make for the other meals which helped keep our cost down.

The kids went to Oak Bluffs with their uncle one night to go on the famous carousel and play video games, which was reasonable cheap entertainment.  The other night, we walked through the town, waterfront and ended up at the beach just before sunset and it was SO nice and low key.

It was the perfect weekend spent with our favorite people and it didn't break the bank.  That's definitely our kind of weekend, we can't wait to do it again soon.😊
