Here Is How Cape Cod’s Water Wizz is Handling Its Website Crash
After a stressful day for both Water Wizz and its loyal fans on Monday, the water park decided to pause all ticket sales in lieu of the technical difficulties that its site experienced after an extremely high demand for the “May the Fun Begin” Sale.
The overwhelming response made it impossible for the Water Wizz website to keep up with traffic, resulting in a server crash.
“In light of these unforeseen circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily pause the sale,” said Kyleigh Brao, the Marketing Manager for Water Wizz. “Our dedicated team is fully committed to resolving these issues promptly and ensuring a seamless purchasing experience for our loyal customers.”
The park’s primary focus moving forward is upgrading its server system to accommodate a higher volume of traffic in hopes of avoiding this problem in the future.
“We understand how frustrating this situation has been and we take full responsibility for the error,” said Barao. “The support and patience demonstrated by our loyal guests throughout this challenging period has been invaluable. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your understanding and for standing by us during this stressful situation.”
The water park assures that all tickets purchased during the original sales event will be honored.
Water Wizz plans to resume the “May the Fun Begin” Sale on Friday, May 19th at 10 am, where the first 5,000 people that purchase tickets will receive another ticket for free.
The park sold out of its initial 5,000 tickets attached to the BOGO deal, but it looks to “commit to fairness” and release those additional 5,000 on Friday.
If this week’s debacle is any indication of the season that is ahead for Water Wizz, Cape Cod’s most popular water park is going to be one busy place this summer.
