For nearly 90 years the Bourne Bridge has been helping eager vacationers get to the sandy beaches of Cape Cod.

While most people simply drive off the bridge, around the rotary and keep on heading down Route 28, one visiting YouTuber never made it that far.

Instead, adventure camper Wes Wherever drove around the Bourne rotary and apparently thought, "that's the perfect spot to spend the night."

Wes Wherever is fairly new to YouTube, but he is quickly gaining followers for his crazy camping trips across the country.

Rocky islands, 100-year-old tunnels and even Minots Light in Boston Harbor have become overnight stays for Wes, but when we saw his trip to Cape Cod we were shocked by where he spent the night.

That's because Wes Wherever managed to sneak into the small copse of trees in the center of the Bourne rotary and camp out overnight.

But as you can see from the video it wasn't easy.

Wes shows that it's kind of difficult to get to the center of the rotary. Between the state police barracks on one side and a town police officer watching for speeders on the other side, it wasn't too surprising that Wes' first attempt to enter the rotary ends by chatting with cops.

He's not deterred however and goes back for a second shot at things after nightfall, this time getting right to the trees.

His troubles aren't over however, because he finds it difficult to get any real cover from the few trees and consistent traffic keeping him on his toes.

Wes does manage to make himself a lovely lobster roll for dinner and get a good night's sleep however, waking up under the pines to the sounds of birds. And though he's covered in sap from his night on the rotary, Wes seems pretty pleased with the result overall.

Definitely not the typical camping trip to the Cape, but it will have me seeing the Bourne rotary in a whole new way.
