Massachusetts Two-Pound Taco Challenge Offers Free Tacos for a Year
There’s no denying the fact that Mexican food is one of the most crave-worthy cuisines on the planet.
Forget Taco Tuesday, this Massachusetts restaurant is serving up a challenge that’s not for the faint of heart. Think you can take on this spicy gauntlet?
Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant in Waltham has launched its new Taco Gigante Challenge, and it’s exactly what it sounds like: a two-pound taco packed to the brim with all your favorite fixings.
Two Pounds of Pure Taco Glory
The rules may be intimidating, but they're rather simple: finish the entire Taco Gigante and you’ll win free tacos for a year. If you dare to take on the Flaming Gigante, a spicier version of the challenge, you’ll also score a free T-shirt (while supplies last) along with bragging rights that’ll make your next taco night legendary.
Margarita’s kicked things off on National Taco Day on October 7, and the challenge has been turning heads – and stomachs – ever since.
How to Claim Your Free Tacos
Winners must use the restaurant’s Circle of Friends rewards account to redeem their weekly free taco prizes, but be warned: unused tacos don’t roll over. That means if you snooze, you lose your taco of the week.
