Did you notice this as well?  During the past several elections there were no more than a handful of other voters at the polling place at the times I voted.  In and out quickly, but no real energy surrounding the experience.   But yesterday, there was a short line outside,  the polling place itself was full, all the booths were being used, and there was a sense that people were excited to be voting.  In my opinion, that's how it should be all of the time.

Not all elections will draw as much voter interest as a Presidential race, but all elections are important.  For me, all the enthusiasm made the voting experience more fun and exciting than in the past few elections.
